NEW PROJECT IN PROGRESS!

When this book came in the mail my brothers and I were intrigued (even though we didn't know that word yet). As Johnny Quest and Thunderbirds fans we never missed an episode if we had our say (not always). Science, adventure and space travel all played a huge role in our childhood imaginations. Ride in a rocket ship to outer space? Of course that could happen! We were a little too young to comprehend President Kennedy's goal put forth in 1961 to congress about landing on the moon before 1970. We were among those that had a front row seat on our crummy black & white television that warm Sunday night in July as Walter Cronkite guided us through the images of Apollo 11. It was excitement infinity and so it is no wonder that this book is in dire need of recycling! It was loved and loved and loved. It was also noted at the time that it was a boy and not a girl that was going to the moon but my sister and I never let that deter us from believing girls could do it too! Stay tuned.
